Operations Service is looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator, focusing on civil defense, who has the ability to coordinate, develop, and improve processes while being a star in providing good service.

The Administration Department within the Swedish Customs consists of about 100 employees and is responsible for premises, vehicles, clothing, office and operational services, as well as procurement, finance, security, and preparedness. The department consists of a management support and five national units, where operations service is one of the units.

The Operations Service unit consists of about 35 employees who are geographically located in various places across the country, mainly in Stockholm, Malmö, and Gothenburg. The Operations Service unit is led by a unit manager and has a unit support consisting of operational coordinators, business developers, and three responsible managers in a geographical division: south, west, and east/north.

Operations Service has a portfolio management with a Facility Management service offering that includes the management of the authority's premises, vehicles, clothing, property protection, and service cards. The unit develops, manages, provides, and secures the operational needs for appropriate and efficient operational service. The unit also has important responsibilities and tasks related to Civil Defense and special events.

About the position

The position consists of two parts;

An important part of the job is to develop and maintain effective warehouse & logistics solutions that support the organization's mission within civil defense. This includes planning and optimizing warehouses, ensuring access to critical resources, and working with routines that function even in crises or heightened preparedness. You thrive in a role where accuracy, holistic thinking, and collaboration are central.

The second part of the work is the daily ongoing work within Operations Service South. Together with colleagues in the team, you contribute to achieving set goals and actively participate in developing, managing, and providing the service offering. The tasks are varied, focusing on facilitating the everyday work for other functions within the Swedish Customs.

Your placement is in Malmö, and you will belong to Operations Service South, a team consisting of 8 people, and you report to the manager for the South service area.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed upper secondary education with passing grades in Swedish, English, and mathematics
  • Experience in warehouse management and logistical flows
  • Understanding of preparedness planning and supply readiness
  • Several years of relevant work experience in a service profession
  • Experience in leading and driving assignments/projects
  • Experience in formulating/updating control & support documents and good habits in independently organizing and planning administrative routines
  • Very good ability to communicate and express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English
  • Very good knowledge of the Office suite
  • Swedish driver's license, at least class B for passenger cars, manual
  • Good physical condition as the work may be physically demanding
  • Swedish citizenship

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in participating in digitalization projects, especially in the implementation of new warehouse systems related to emergency stock
  • Experience in IT system support within Facility Management
  • Experience in continuous improvement work
  • Experience in public administration

The employment is a permanent position and begins with a 6-month probationary period, with individual salary setting applied.
